In support of Talisa, she makes for much better television than Jayne Westerling ever could. Everyone likes a love story. We get a simple, classic story of a pretty, interesting girl who stimulates and challenges a boy, he falls for her, they have a weird wedding ceremony in the woods, everybody eventually dies horribly.

This works for a number of reasons.

1. Robb is Ned Stark's kid. He was taught that the opinions and lives of everyone, even the small folk, are important, so a lippy medic wouldn't automatically get raped and killed.

2. Talisa comes from a powerful noble family in her own right.

3. You get to see the justification for breaking the vow, much more satisfying on TV than a couple sheepish lines of dialog to Catlyn when he comes home with a surprise wife.

4. Robb is developed more thoroughly. Through the Talisa courtship, you see how Robb really is a good king. He's fair, and thoughtful, and he's tough, and he really tries to do right. In the books the development is less obvious, a lot more anecdotal, and you can't ever shake the thought that he's just a kid.

5. Finally, Robb's the king. He gets messages delivered to him all the time, and his people get free rein to do whatever in camp. Talisa's interruption wouldn't have caused anyone to bat an eye.

As for littlefinger, everything about his portrayal is flawless. His snide remarks, his ruthlessness, his cowardice, and his sometimes frightening competency all come out clearly, and come on, he got that leering smirk just perfect. Great cast, great character.

Jamie's relatability and likability come only *spoilers*
after his fall from grace, specifically when he loses his hand and is subsequently rejected by Cersei.
*spoilers*
As of now, he's still the first son of the most powerful house in the realms, probably the best swordsman in westeros, and the best looking. At this point he's still wildly arrogant, brash, mysanthropic, and apathetic with every reason to be. Nothing demonstrates these traits more than casually killing his awestruck cousin and the Karstark kid just to escape, especially since he surely knew he'd be caught again.
The TV folks needed to develop and show jamie's pervasive Jamieness and Catlyn's complete disgust with him, so the audience can really feel the monumental desperation that is required to set him free on the quest to recover her girls. This scene does a succinct and thorough job of that even though you miss some good dialog.

Cool article, but the graphics look pretty biased. You highlight that HoN has a competitive community, but the truth is it's the lowest from them all. And Dota 2 beta doubles the number of active players that HoN has right now.

that's true:
Jaime has a few golden lines to Catelyn in the books:
"If you said that in my son's hearing, he would kill you for it. "Only so long as I was wearing these." Jaime Lannister rattled his chains at her.

"I never eat off another man's trencher. Besides, you're not half so lovely as my sister."

"Aren't you afraid? The gods might send you down to some terrible hell for all the evil you've done." "What evil?" He laughed. "What gods?"

Jaime killing his cousin was a good thing?
But that's just made him a kinslayer aswell as a kingslayer, he's supposed to be sympathetic and most of what he did in the past was generally for the right reasons. Also the conversation with Catelyn was much longer in the books, how can you say that scene was better? I agree with Theon though

In the books Rob forsook his vows after he made a mistake while he drunk and distraught after his brothers were murdered and he had to marry jeyne because of his honour.
In the show he got with Talisa just because she was attractive and said some story, and because of that he spat in the freys face. Also the scenes where she talks back to him, goes against one of the main aspect of the show that GRRM tried for.

Way to get yourself killed Rob, was she worth it?

1. Arya's scenes with Tywin were great, but took away from her (better) story in the books

2. Littlefinger is a moron who can't keep an accent in the show, never heard anyone say he's an improvement.

3. Talisa is pretty much fan-fiction and the worst thing this season in the show this season after messing up Jon Snow and Halfhand's arc. While I understand the need for a love story for Robb...well I'll let GRRM take it from here:

"The bad authors adopt the class structures of the Middle Ages; where you had the royalty and then you had the nobility and you had the merchant class and then you have the peasants and so forth. But they don’t’ seem to realize what it actually meant. They have scenes where the spunky peasant girl tells off the pretty prince. The pretty prince would have raped the spunky peasant girl. He would have put her in the stocks and then had garbage thrown at her. You know."
